The efficiency of the Kort-nozzle propeller is therefore greater than of the open propeller.Ĭomputational fluid dynamics (CFD) have been highly used for the analysis of marine propellers. ![]() There are two types of duct, the first type is named as acceleration duct or Kort nozzle and the second type is deceleration duct. One of this propulsion is called Kort-nozzle propeller. ![]() In recent year, considerable efforts have been made in order to improve the propulsive efficiency of the propeller on the ships.
